The failure at the Bay of pigs had a lot to do with the assassination of John F. Kennedy in my opinion. After the Soviets had taken control of Cuba many of the American mobsters that had business in Cuba had lost them. These mobsters wanted the businesses back and so they supported the attempted overtaking at the Bay of Pigs. When the United States did not back up the soldiers they sent in, the entire operation was lost. This meant that these mobsters were angry with John F. Kennedy and so I think that it was them who assassinated Kennedy.
